No. As headphones and as a recorder they work on the free plan forever, including on-device capture and full-text search over five hours of transcription a month. Pro unlocks unlimited transcription, email reading, the Javis Keyboard and MCP workflows. Three months of Pro come in the box.
They go to a private cloud container tied to your account, not a shared pool. You can export or permanently delete everything at any time, and your content is never used to train models sold to third parties.
Recording laws vary by state and country — some require every participant to consent. HiJavis includes a spoken and visible recording indicator and a one-tap pause, but the responsibility for consent rests with you. Check the rules where you are.
